The bruising of life we are taking.
Can’t see, don’t know, you don’t understand
When I cannot place it into your hand.
With your eyes they search yet cannot find
Each disaster behind corners, in disguise it hides.
Never quite getting it, making your way round the concept
Yes either that, or your telling yourself to reject.
But we all replay the days, nothings, nights
When there seemed to be nobody, it was no longer a fight.
A battle of life, yes we had already lost
Along with everything that we did love the most.
No longer living, existence that’s us all
Silently waiting, pacing… for the good lords call.
For that time to come, where we shall have an end
But that time is too long, you thrust round sharp bends.
Eager to go, but yet willing to prolong and stay
For those people you love, deserving another day.
Yet the days you are useless, to everyone, you’d be better dead
At least that what they tell you, those things in your head.
Friendless, almost happy, something’s gone missing
Your sparkle, light, love, you are left reminiscing.
Nothing has means, nothing has a cause
Your already mummified inside, wrapped in pale gauze.
Yet don’t let go for the gauze she does unfold
And as you unravel you have something to hold.
Each horrific memory within each cotton layer
Suddenly as if by magic, you don’t seem to care.
Still there is no fire burning but it is being lit
When you flourish you grow, without being tripped.
Keeping your trusted a heartbeat away, everyone else doesn’t exist
They don’t register, make appearance, on your survival list.
Stand strong and face each almighty gust
It might knock you back, but inside you are tough.
Rise to your feet, stand tall, your soul and body reclaimed
You can see clearer and live once again.

physical pain flows down the drain
relief is only passing
we must deal with emotion emotionally

Intriguing and very beautiful poem.
Indeed we must become the masters and control the turbulent emotions. lest they deter us from the goals to be attained.

Thanks a lot for sharing.
