We cut off all loose ties We burn down all our bridges We hold on so damn tight To what we think was rigid
But as the ground we stand on shakes And the faith we hold on breaks Reality is just a nightmare From which no one ever wakes
Like pawns in a chess game We are marching to our deaths Knowing that our fate Will be eternal rest
Even though we are all to die someday And our names will not be remembered We march on because we must We march on because it is just
