Missing targets from the width of a hair
The smell of death wafts around them all
The continue to fight though their ready to fall
Strong and loyal, they stay true to their word
Even as the rocketing death count is heard
Their boots strapped tight
The mobilize in the night
Protecting their wards like soldiers can
Tired, wounded, and hardly can stand
They bite through the pain to act so selfless
It makes me wonder how we can be selfish
A soldier may die
Any way any time
They struggle with things we may never find
I salute to the broken soldiers
The men who fought for their country
The woman who fought for their rights
The man with a bullet in his chest
The woman holding him in his last minutes
Salute to them for their sake
It may be the last salute that they take [comments] => 1 [counter] => 212 [topic] => 28 [informant] => Depression-chan [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 0 [ratings] => 0 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => Patriotic )

Very well done for someone who's never been there. Thank your God for that. Thank you.
