[hometext] => This poem was written in response to Katie Ford's fine book of poems, "Deposition," published by Greywolf Press.
[bodytext] => In the end there is no they there is only we and we
are only a scattered few doing the best we know not to bury these talents no institution no conspiracy no contructed reality just a bunch of kids trying to build a kingdom I can only see in my head in random dreams sometimes yours and his life his long walk his choice to live outside the boundaries I will not forget I will be his friend and watch his back when they are angry it is always they and I wish it was just me just talk to me because yes probably I messed it up because I was trying so hard not to let you die alone and I didn't know what to do you were gasping flailing turning blue and I did not have an instruction book so I did the only thing I could think of if it was wrong I'm sorry but you talk like this wasn't an emergency and that's what I think this is an emergency.
