Part 2: The Aftermath A cold lifeless body found on the floor, Someone’s daughter, she is no more. Taken long before her time, The reason to why is hard to find. Devastated are her family and friends, What was the message she tried to send? Gone is her life, her hopes and dreams, For no good reason for what it seems. Her contributions to the world we’ll never see, What she could have become will never be. She’s just another name on the obituary line, Another statistic of the sign of the times. This poem was written not to glamorize suicide, to the contraire, it is a look inside the aftermath of this tragic event. Its intention is to look how such an action effects the family and the world.
