You're too high to think of me
And I'll pretend I care
Until you're just another dream
That turned into a nightmare.
Your memories have power,
More power than his touch.
But a nightmare made me cower.
Now I smoke too much.
I'll throw you some credit
When the chill passes over.
I make it so there's no regret,
And you won't know about the other.
I never had a doubt with you
It's one dream that will never die.
It's also quite pathetic too
But you're one that's never made me cry.
I wonder if you'll stick around,
But you should know I will be tempted
To drive around that side of town.
Can't lie, I must attempt it.
Oh, goodbye my summer lover,
Your laughter like lightening.
Yes, you're unlike any other
But I can't keep actively fighting.
Goodbye my summer lover,
This could become real.
Let's move on with one another.
It's time for me to heal.
You tear me into two,
Those devilish temptations.
But the angel knows what's true...
I can't keep taking chances
With a charming soul like you.
