I see the insainity in my mind
Here lately I've felt changed a man of another kind
And I have but my insainity
I believe is still in me
I see a layout of my mind
The present is not bright
And just full of so much light
She's with me all the time
And yet there seems to be a forest
Separate from the rest
Dark and cold
So taunting in what horrors it could hold
The roots feed by blood
The walkway a crimson kind of mud
Each shadow a voice
Screaming back the past, but I made a choice
I had creativity
In my insainity
So much imagery
But now I'm in the light
Everything looks so bright
And I still have my insainity
My creativity
Only by walking through the forest
Going my own little quest
Through the reaches of my mind
Trying to see all the horrors I can find
This dark forest could only bring pain
Could only drive me insaine
But a small stroll
See what it holds
I'll always come back to you in the light
You just so bright
I'd never lose my way from you

| This poem needs editing. The first part of the poem is hard to follow. The second half is better. All great poets write and re-write. I believe you have the soul of a poet so keep at it. |
