Just close your eyes
And listen to the sounds
The world has to bring you
All year around
But listen long enough
Youll soon start to hear
The sounds all around you
Start to disappear
But then you will hear
A heart beat in your head
You wonder if its yours
Or the living dead
You open your eyes
And the beating just fades
You sit there and wonder
Till the end of day
Youre tired and cold
So you go into bed
You lay down to sleep
To the noise in your head
In your dream you can hear
What sounds like a girl
Whisper in your ears
As you sit in a twirl
Voices of memories
Running through your head
The ones you forgot
The ones that were dead
Memories of her
The girl that you once loved
The one that got away
The girl from above
You thought what would happen
If you could go back
To change that one moment
Just to get her back
Just hearing her voice
Or just seeing her face
Relaxes you and
Puts a smile on your face
Its why you dream at night
You just love to sleep
Seeing her face again
Makes you want to weep
But sooner or later
You always awake
From what seemed to be real
Even though it was fake
You crawl out of bed
And just stare at the light
You close your eyes
As you remember the night
You looked in her eyes
And saw your reflection
But your love will take
Another Direction
She says shes moving
Away to Tennessee
And this may not work out
You know you and me
Well be so far away
Some thousand miles
Letters and phone calls
Wont work for a while
We have to break up
I really dont want to
I love you so much
I cant live without you
You open your eyes
And you take a deep breath
And you feel as if
Youre closing in on death
You put on a Green Day song
Last Night on Earth
Brings back the memories
For what its all worth
The song describes
Your relationship with her
The good and the bad times
That seemed like a blur
You hear the phone ring
You answer to a voice
A voice of an angel
Gives sudden rejoice
The love of your life
Is on the other line
She asks how youre doing
You say I am fine
And then she asks you
If you can close your eyes
And then turn around
To receive a surprise
You do as she says
As you open your eyes
You start to get worried
And you start to cry
When you open your eyes
Youre amazed to see
Her eyes staring at you
Fills you up with glee
You close your eyes again
You hear her heart beat
It sounds so lovely
My minds stuck on repeat
Repeating the times
I use to be lonely
But now I am with
My one and my only

Very long but with each of the lines short it made it flow easily. An interesting read, good to hear you're back with your one and only.
