twisted and snapped over time
creating visions, distorted once loved
her dearest moments all destroyed

her body lies stillborn
with melancholy struck upon her face
the precious roots of memory begin lifting
forced to lose every trace

she slowly drifts absent
as the world starts to darken
she wonders if she's said too much
not every emotion must be spoken

somehow she is awoken
from the familiar beating of his heart
and somehow her body is warmed
by the fervor in his eyes
and burning with each tear
she feels his life

the tangled vines all aflame
she's tenderly scolded by his soul
burning so brilliantly
she wonders how she could've let him go [comments] => 3 [counter] => 178 [topic] => 2 [informant] => xfaggotx [notes] => Corrected spelling as requested ~ Moderator_18 July 26, 2010 [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 3 [ratings] => 1 [editpoem] => 0 [associated] => [topicname] => LovePoetry )

For not writing a poem for five years, this is really good. :) I hope you keep writing.

Don't you dare wait another five years, a true talent.
