It makes me think that he's just crazy.
It scares me when he gets like that,
He likes to yell and call me fat.
I never thought things would get this bad.
They claim a head injury is why he's always mad.
The good times we share seem to go by in a blur,
And once again we start to bicker.
Late at night the neighbors hear us screaming.
Sooner or later it will be the law that does the deeming.
He chokes me until I am no longer breathing;
I always wake up seething.
Seething mad, just like him.
I'm just the same as he,
I wish everyone would just let us be.
We make up in the darkness of night,
Between the sheets and God it feels so right.
Amidst the shadows our bodies twine,
His essence tastes like sweet red wine.
But now I'm in a bind.
His life is gone, and so is mine.

He always has to be so angry.
It makes me think that he's just crazy.
It scares me when he gets like that,
He likes to yell and call me fat.
I never thought things would get this bad.

Great poem full of emotion. Love can have a dark side. This doesn't sound like a healthy relationship, but passion can blind a person. I hope things get better. Amazing poem!

Clouded feelings of frustrations entwined with love has been clearly expressed with well chosen rhyming words.
This gives the poem a depth of thought.

i hear about this kind of thing all the time and it always confuses me, but your poem conveyed some sense to me. i just hope partners would make the best decisions possible. well written write btw...

Seems like this relationship has so many loose threads, but one overwhelming strong thread that keeps it together.
Trying to make sense of things sometimes just makes them seem even more complicated.
