Array ( [sid] => 1605 [catid] => 1 [aid] => mick [title] => All I Ask [time] => 2002-08-02 10:30:22 [hometext] => This was for a friend written early last year (2001). It was my way of showing him all he had done for me and letting him know that I would always be there for him too. [bodytext] => My dearest friend,
You are always there for me
with your smile, your laugh,
your interesting personality
You fill my heart with a new found
feeling of trust, of love, of affection.
And yet in this world
filled with hatred, pain and confusion
You offer your hand to me
in protection, and a need for me
and restored my faith in humanity.
I find I have opened up to you
I have opened my heart, my soul, my mind to you
No longer do I fear rejection
No longer do I feel alone
For you are always there for me
and help me repair the pain
of past love, past life and past enemies.

My friend, all I ask of thee
Is that you don't ever forget me
Remember me in your hour of need
When confusion and pain consumes thee
Even when the sun shines bright
and the sky above is clear that night
please don't ever forget me
For I want to be there for thee
To hold your hand in your hour of need
to clear your mind from the confusion of life
to heal the pain that consumes you at night
to share with you the sun so bright
and the wonder of the clear sky that night
Please, remember me

I love this! I have a friend that helped me through a lot that I wish would remember me when he needs help through something... this is beautiful. (I wrote "Save the Last Dance" for him). Thanks for sharing this!
