Splendour, grandeur and purity
Dawdling her east-to-west route
With familiarity and majesty till her root
Radiating generously and ceaselessly all day

We see her east-westing
But none see her returning
When she is in rich golden attire
She is ready to retire
We wish in vain she stays

I cling to my window bars
That looks to her path
When at last she comes
There is this song I hum
Grace, beauty, humility and majesty are but a few words from this song.

Exquisite Deiight Fish............Marvelous description of our wondrous Sun. I love the song you also hum!
Whatever in this world would we do without
the warmth from our beauteous Sun. In the Bible is a language called, "The Pure Language, and the Sun denotes our Loving Creator.......isn't that beautiful too?
Loved your poem Fish............very much!
Warm love,
consue

i especially like the structure of this poem, and how the last line of each stanza doesn't quite fit with the others--it makes it interesting to read. you also did a nice job opening this piece of nature to new interpretations. 'majesty' is a word that certainly must describe the sun!
