At The Altar

How could you
On my most important day
Leave me at the Altar
And never come my way

You left me at the altar
Standing on the pier
Standing all alone
With nothing but my fear

I was standing in my white
A dress as pretty as can be
Why cant you tell
Didnt you love me?

I was so in love with you
Why did you leave me so?
I dont understand
Why you needed to go

I was standing at the Altar
In my pretty white
Then I noticed you were gone
And you took with you all the light

So now I sit in bed
Thinking again about you
Wishing that in all this pain
My heart would become new
