From the ripped, torn pieces
Of identity in the fire
That I started

To the dog’s bow
Before you, Master
In a rumbling shiver,
Takeover invited
Conquer me

Mistaken for eyes
With the same message
When I was just a girl
And didn’t want power
I didn’t know the word

From cycles of deprivation
A boom and bust,
Sahara and mirage,
I learned to keep close
What I didn’t want taken

But you took me
Stole me when I wasn’t looking
Taunted me over the edge
To chase you into a chasm
A freefall

Never felt so free
As when your arms entrapped me
Never let go so hard
As when my hand gripped yours

It’s not taking
If it was always meant for you
Because for you

wow! What a proclamation!! This is just excellent
writing. A beautiful and provocative piece that falls
so easily into a rhythm. A very enjoyable read. There
is a destiny of emotion here. And it is exceptionally
well articulated. Perfection.

Gorgeous write!! -- Achelois
