You disappear
Georgie comes to hold my hand
To protect me from his brothers

Sad how a figment of sickness
Can replace you
“Where have you been?”
Come the words at dawn

To know intimately in the night
Loneliness like a twin – Georgie
And the fear his brothers bring
White thundering terror in the night
Not safe in my own bed

I cry for your abandon
All of you, my blood and soul related
Upon whom I once depended
Before I made Georgie

Because all of you fell asleep
When Jesus, I told you not to
It is best anyway for you to endure
With eyes wide closed
You wouldn't want to see

My childhood imaginary friend
Carry him into adulthood
Because he is my only true friend
The only one who never sleeps [comments] => 5 [counter] => 199 [topic] => 48 [informant] => Chamaron [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 5 [ratings] => 1 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => EmotionalPoetry )

I hear you loud and clear.
The only perfection is in our imagination.
I give you 100 points for such a good work of art.
huggs, blessings,
emy

This is just such a beautiful piece of writing my friend. Incredibly worded and evocative. Thank you, Aliopterix

Fear can be a gripping emotion, almost like a vice.
Not just holding us, but squeezing our souls to the
point of suffocation. This was very thought provoking.
You write with eloquence.

Well done. -- Achelois
