[hometext] => I was travelling on a train when a long dead memory came back to me, so I wrote these words.
[bodytext] => Crumpling, falling, arms flung wide, dive for cover, check your front! Checking my weapon, eyes searching, trying to pierce the vey rocks and shrubs. Mouth dry, stomach knotted in fear, slight tremour in my hands. Sweat, fresh sweat, on forehead, and more gushing down my spine. Calm voice in my ear piece, watch your front. Pick out your arcs. Is my safety off? Fumbling feel, all is well. Notice I am breathing hard, breath in and hold, slow the heart rate. A silent prayer to God, Please let me get home again, please let me see my mum. Then, I hear the shot. The shot that sent Davey Boy, spinning to the ground. A milisecond, that is all it was, and thirty years to say goodbye.
