Whose pants don't hang off their ass.
Who doesn't have a criminal past.
Whose not out there chasing every skirt,
but understands you put the woman in your life first.

Who faithfully goes to his nine to five.
When he's off,
he looks forward to spending time.
Who doesn't mind expressing what he feels.
And what he feels isn't game, but real.

Women don't want good men anymore!

Men with honest lives,
but they're still making it.
Everything he has, he has earned,
he's not out there takin it.
Who sees he's not always right,
and can admit when he's wrong.
Who knows he can be gentle,
and yet still be strong.

Men who understand that chivalry is not dead.
Whose not trying to play games with her heart,
nor her head.
Men who comprehend the meaning of monogamy.
Who desires that one special woman,
and with her he only wants to be.

Women don't want good men anymore!

Men who don't mind telling his woman she's been missed.
Men who are aware there should be emotion and meaning behind every kiss.
Men who are willing to learn the woman he holds.
Who recognizes this is a partnership,
it's not about control.

Men who can accept their women for who they are.
Whose goal is to help her grow and heal,
not scar.
Who are willing to address the pains and doubts of her past.
Men who are able to show her good things do come,
and good things can last.

Women don't want good men anymore!

A man who knows not to allow an argument to linger.
A man who will one day,
get down on one knee,
and place a ring on her finger.
A man who is able to honor the vow til death do us part.
And after all the years,
the ups and downs,
he still has a place for her in his heart.

Women don't want good men anymore!

Whose pants don't hang off their ass.
Who doesn't have a criminal past.

Well I do!!!!
I got so fed up with not finding a good one, I spent 3 and a half years on my own!
Then one day purely by chance, I met the perfect gentleman, and everything you have described above....... I couldn't have asked for more x
Thank God for good men, you aren't as few and far between as some ladies may think.....
Seek and you shall find!
A strongly felt view, brilliantly brought to the fore x

A powerful piece, though I agree with star, they ARE truly women out there who appreciate a real man and everything you have described in your write. I know of a few myself who are waiting for the right honest man.

It's nice to know there are some gentlemen still out there. There are still ladies looking for gentlemen, rest assured. But sensibility, genuine respect, and faithfulness are characteristics of an unpopular minority. At least "minority" is not "extinct" just yet.

Love the attitude behind this, the rhythm and flow of this poem is excellent,had me smiling from the first verse to the last, and what a way to start.....whose pants don't hang off their ass lol strong message delivered loud and clear and appreciated by a strong woman lol

I have always believed that true strength comes from virtue. The sad truth is, not that women don't want a good man, but there are also less good women. It is hard to find a beautiful loving and devoted man. It is almost impossible to find a beautiful loving and devoted woman. I will never stop looking though. Somewhere out there is a person as devoted as I am. I will find her or I will die trying.
