I watch and see things; yet they affect me like no other.
But does that make me bad?
I do not say a word, I smile and wave.
Popular, liked, wanted. But no-one knows me.
Not my parents, friends; any boyfriend I have ever had.
Sitting alone, thinking about how I could just die and
How easy it would be to take it all away.
Deeply, sinking; an abyss…my mind.
Caress me, hold me. Someone love me for me.
Why can nobody hear me when I scream?
Why can nobody be there when I’m scared?
Everything that I do, it is never the right thing,
It is never enough.
Always pleasing one, never everyone.
Will I ever succeed? Can I ever achieve what I want?
But what do I want?
How will I know? If I am happy.
Why. Why does everything and everyone seem so transparent when
My world and my life is so opaque.
I just want to live.

Oh yes, I know this place as I spent many years there when I was younger.
Taking a brave step to stand up for yourself, being selfish once in a while, and stopping
trying to please everyone all the time can be very hard, and takes lots of practise!
But it truly does pay off in the long run - believe me!
I love the honesty of this poem, very well executed.....

Very good write expressing the self doubts of who you are in this world and who you are in relation to others whilst questioning true happiness, as Lisa says some very honest lines in this.....How will I know if I am happy......But no-one knows me......I just want to live

I'm glad that you want to live. At times things can be very difficult. Keep writing and hang in there.
