This life was yours for the taking but you thrown it away
Each choice you made has been nothing but another mistake”
And these are the words I lived with every day
I was never good enough in your eyes, so why should I try
When you’re willing to give up on me so easily
Even now as I mention my dreams
All I heard was how it didn’t seem like the right path for me
So tell who I’m really supposed to be
You seem to have such a perfect plan a path I can follow
And who cares if leaves me feeling nothing
Because when standards are set so low, expectation non existent
The only one I can really fail is me

You''ll never be anything........then the poem opens up in an explosion of anger and a wonderful empowering conclusion of finding the strength to know who you are and what you are going to do in life being only accountable to yourself, really enjoyed this very self empowering write

How true. But you never will fail yourself. As long as you learn from failure you achieve success. But then again who am I to tell you that. I constantly fail myself, and history oh so love's to repeat it's self.
Who am I?
That is the best title I have ever read. The write it's self is nothing short of brilliant.
Great job. Keep up the good work.

Very powerful. Just remember to never judge yourself through the eyes of others and always set your own goals and follow your own path. Thats a lesson that i learnt the hard way after trying to fill the shoes given to me. Keep up the good work
