They leer and laugh, watching me die.
A little more each passing day,
while I scream and fight to get away.
They tie me down and tear away,
my wings are clipped another day.
I lay in the ground, bleeding out
the noises fade, there are no more shouts.
The bars come down once more,
and I'm locked in a cage with no door.
Days on and on without end,
Staying silent, there are no friends.
In the night, the moon calls to me,
making my soul cry to be free.
To feel my wings again, and fly,
because heaven is truly in the sky.
Roaming the earth with those broken bones,
forever feeling more and more alone.
Stumbling about, with my returning will
But the feathers haven't returned still.
Screaming, begging the Guardians of the sky,
to save me tonight, and let me fly. [comments] => 4 [counter] => 261 [topic] => 61 [informant] => flamingblade [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 10 [ratings] => 2 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => selfstruggles )

I know this feeling very well!
This is where trust really comes into play.... the trust in yourself, and the trust you have in the chosen few.around you.
Anything is possible, whether it be negative or positive, but the latter will out if you reach for it deep enough.....
I loved the meaningfulness of this write x
