And from afar,
And I know what you’ve seen in the dreams.

I’ve watched you hide,
What you knew inside,
As nothing appeared as it seems.

I’ve watched your spirit,
Sink to despair,
And watched as you hid in the pain.

And I know the cost,
I know what you’ve lost,
And not many years now remain.

But what you didn’t know,
As you descended so low,
With the struggle you’ve had all your life.

That there is a future,
And there is a hope,
That turns darkness into the light.

It will start oh so small,
Barely seen, if at all,
But still there all the same.

And its brightness will grow,
And in good time you’ll know,
With you it will always remain.

The struggle will end,
Your loss will fade,
And you will find a new way to be.

And all of the fears,
And all the lost years,
Will fade to the past, you will see.

And so for a time,
Continue your path,
Be assured that you’ll find the way.

And know in your heart,
That with this new start,
A light will guide you throughout your day.
