[bodytext] => * * * All eye lids decided To banish the sleep tonight! Poor sleep, where shall it stay? It has become a refugee, and Approached a blooming flower. "If you are sheltered, Can not bloom my petals and I die Falling down even before the Sun rise" Said the flower and spurned the sleep. Then sleep begged the wind The wind rejected "With me how can you sleep? With you I will be solidified! Always I live only by movement Please go at once from my way!" Then sleep losing hopes begged the mist To give refuge at least for this night "Ah, no!" said the mist "If you stay I’ll be frozen and cubed I only live by a hope to melt in the sweet embrace of Sun rays! You must leave me at once" Then sleep returned with a weeping face Begging me for shelter this night promising many a dream sweet. Although I know it will cheat Yet my heart melted with pity And mind withdrawn all its activity Then deep sleep embraced my eye lids Covering a dark blanket upon my mlnd! * * * -venkat [comments] => 3 [counter] => 233 [topic] => 75 [informant] => venkat [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 20 [ratings] => 4 [editpoem] => 0 [associated] => [topicname] => anguished )
