The cold chills after a prolonged distance.
Speaking it like it is your god, wishing to be held in it's embrace.
I ask of you what is your addiction.

We all have addictions, the world thrives off of them.
We have built shrines to them, wasted our lives to them.
And ruined others in the process of our own needs.

Is it the fact that its so untamable, its raw emotion.
It whispers to us at any waking moment.
Its cold fingers on our back.

What do you think of when i mention addiction, is it drugs?
Is it that stuff that people pour down their throats, to hide the memories?
Or is it the touch, the flesh against flesh.
The smell of passion.

There are way to many addictions just to label just one.
Just look at your own, to be able to fill in the blanks.
Mine i have a few, many from childhood.
Shoved the monkey from a very young age.
Only to slowly chase him away.

We are more then addiction.
We just keep falling, because things are looking bleak.
But we can not let them take control.
To hold us down, we have enough people doing that already.
We are more then addiction.
Its not our life.
It will not run my life.

Temptation's the real addict always waiting for the next fix and we all subject to be used...Your lines are so painfully true, yet some how enlightening-Morgues
