Quite and serene, alone in my dream
jut a gentle darkness enveloping a bright blue sky pulsing with dread the turbid clouds their colour losing Not a birdsong to liven the evening just a stillness gathering the gloom all life has fled this pervasivenes the silence of death, deep brooding Waiting to meet the last breadth of life hoping to see me gently float away the shadow of a life past living what does it matter a new day Living to meet ones creator every breadth a useless gasp why is death now in hiding when the senses have lost life's clasp What is life so light so fleeting when eternity stares into ones mind whither the loud voices screeching what use the egos victory cry Both the past and present are but one and the same a continuim of joy or sorrow is this life worth living again. years of past neglectfull living have only been moments of doom even death hides in fear and trembling rotting souls litter the room. | I agree with the above (or below I am not sure how the comments run.) that it is a very sad poem, but I enjoyed how well you conveyed your feelings within such a short space. You made it feel as if you had lost it all, but somewhat regained it for a brief moment. |
