As I gaze past the crowd
Into eternity
At first glance,
I see myself surrendering

Suddenly I am disconnected from this vision
For I am distracted by the arms around me
I turn to see who this barricade is
But they hold on with a tight grip

I struggle but they hold me in place
As I open my mouth,
I hear a whisper
I'm not sure why,
but this voice sounds familiar

I wait for them to say something more
I can feel his breathing on the back of my neck
I can feel his eyes on me
He's gazing right into my soul

...He finally lets go
I look up
And these eyes...
Belong to the one person I know the best

No longer do I see myself surrendering
I look into his eyes
I see hope, opportunity
I see love. ♥
