Array ( [sid] => 153026 [catid] => 1 [aid] => mick [title] => Alcohol [time] => 2009-09-09 16:15:57 [hometext] => [bodytext] => A young boy, can only hide in his dreams
Hiding in his closet, to escape his mothers screams
See, Daddy has an anger problem
He’s half of a man, as he stands tall
King of the house, watching his wife fall
Flexing his cowardice, in this unjust fight
The boy cries
Shine your light

A young couple, an anxious couple
They watch as the line turns blue, now parents to be
The fathers eyes fill a joyful tear
His girlfriends become enraged with fear
a week later, in complete discreetness, heart filled with weakness
the mother’s at the abortion clinic
The devil’s mimic
When he hears the news he falls to his knees
And prays to his angel, who will never breath
Left with nothing but a child’s demise and a woman to despise…
Shine your light

A woman, with a disease, walks down the street
She’s followed by stares…. w/ her dignity, god took her hair
She cant get a job and can’t buy a friend
It’s only so long before she meets her life’s end
Laughs and smirks haunt her shadow as people make fun
She goes home and sits with a gun
Why wait she asks, with the barrel to her head
Finger on the trigger she thinks she’s better off dead
A heart to never mend…a lost will to fight
Is it a life worth taking?
Shine your light

The preceding stanza’s example the inability to cope
Yet to cope, is a necessity to pursue hope
People overshadowed and overcame w/ reality
Infidelity,
violence, lies, all blind our path to pursue happiness
Is it there? Are there answers at all?
Is life one big ‘luck of the draw?’
It takes strong will to live day by day
One must look at the world through optimistic eyes
Remember, After the night, a bright suns to rise
One good deed is all it takes
To rid a part of the world of its haunting mistakes
With your head held high, walk into the night
Light up the darkness
And shine your light

There will always be grief if everyone concedes
A world of Happiness is a foundation of seeds
Shine your light… and they will grow
