As I close these blue eyes

I lay my clouded mind to rest the day to sleep. To begin new, I start to accept the gift of a new day
Your memory fades as these blue eyes shut
I am alone, but to only stand one day
I have seen much with these eyes
The fall of a nation, the reconnection between parent and child, and a boy trasforming to a man
These eyes witnessed your love
These eyes watched as that love walked away into another"s arms

I take a step to the future, i begin to change my stars
I am independant, embarassed without you
My survival is more than a fleeting happines
My dreams are in realms of possibities
Goal and expectations are met

Without you I am sending my validiction
I can countinue with myself
Theses blue eyes shut you away
I sleep with myself and move on

You'll think of me
You'll wonder what could have been
Your heart wil ache
Your mothers daughter will cry once more as i close these eyes
