Befriended a cloud that was dark and grey
Not a very nice cloud... that, deep down, she knew
Before I start the story I should say
It is a hundred percent true...

I once had a cloud above my head
It wasn't an ordinary cloud
but neither was it orange, or gold, or red
It was dark, almost black, it was grey

It didn't feel like a nice cloud
But I couldn't pull away from its grip
No body could hear me, no matter how loud
I shouted for them to help me

I just let the cloud follow me
Control me,
Befriend me
Then one day its all i could see
And the only thing i knew

Until one day i saw the sun
For the first time in a long time
The clouds advice was to run,
Just run
But I didn't run,
I stayed,
I was brave

The sun would then chip away
everyday, more and more
at the dark cloud that so wanted to stay
Then, one day,
the cloud,
My friend
Was gone

I knew he was still there
Just faded into the back ground
The sun had hid him somewhere
But he'll me find me, again,
If he really wants to

Then the story goes on
And the sun is my friend now
All the bad thoughts are gone
Replaced with positivity

This carried on for a while
Until now,
The sun, chased away
By an old friend.
And with a radius of a mile
The cloud is back,
Above my head,
Bigger
Better
More powerful

To put an end to this story
I'll just say, that now I'm sure
The cloud's not a friend, more an enemy
And I'll wait, once more
For you, the sun
To rescue

A wonderful story .......don't worry, it's meaning certainly wasn't lost in the way it was told.
I hope the sun finds you and radiates warmth back into your life.
Excellent work

Steve
