Array ( [sid] => 149906 [catid] => 1 [aid] => mick [title] => Animal Inside My Soul [time] => 2009-05-15 16:02:10 [hometext] => this dark poem has a bit of self-harm thrown in with it. Also slight vampire instincts. and warning: kinda graphic. I don't want anyone yelling at me, so I warn you: if you don't like sick and disgusting things like gouging out eyes, then don't read this. [bodytext] => Shaking back and forth
Rocking on my bed
Gripping the sheets
Pressing me knees to my chest
Staring wide eyed at the blank wall
Getting more images of your blood, smeared on my fingers
Makes me shudder more
Makes me disbelieve how much I really love you

I can't stop imagining your death
As if I have some sick pleasure with that thought
But really I cringe and the thought of you getting a mere papercut
I must me some sick, twisted madman

In my dreams
I long to bite you
Make you bleed out
On the cold ground
In the darkest alley
With the tallest brick walls
And the most twists and turns

I am a monster
I stalk you in the night
With a dagger in my hand
Jeweled on the hilt

Please, make this end
Put me out of my misery
No longer shall I see these dark visions
If I no longer have eyes to see through
Maybe I'll gouge out my eyes
Maybe I'll snip my eyelids off
So that I will no longer sleep
I will only see the darkness of night

Thriving in darkness...

I'll be the insomniac
You will no longer wish to see me
I will stare at you with unclosing eyes
Or I will not see you anymore

Maybe I'll light my eyes on fire
Or just my whole body
Douse myself in lighter fuel
Light a match, drop it on the ground...
Feel the flames licking at my skin
Burning me alive
A hard suicide
One you would definitely frown upon

I imagine the way you touch me
And it makes all the pain go away
The way your lips feel on mine
Is a wonderful, yet brief, escape from reality

Your body against mine
Another escape
Although this one is not quite as brief
And it is much more long lasting

After my quick escape
I return to the dark world of my dreams
Where I hurt you
Torture you endlessly
The animal inside my being
Inside my soul
Is tearing me apart
And eating away at my brain

This animal inside me
Begs me for blood
And I try to block it out
But I know that it will conquer me
Despite all that I try
It won't leave me be
I cannot force this beast down
It has become my soul. [comments] => 1 [counter] => 184 [topic] => 13 [informant] => Innocent_Sinner [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 0 [ratings] => 0 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => DarkPoetry )
