The sounds of the city noise is now what ears hear.
Adjustment and no truck stop in the view, no big truck rumbles
Good bye miss Lady Road you are fading into darkness.

She is becoming a ghost, tip the cup another toast.
No more black ribbon to fade into sunsets of another time.
Now blank expressions and a fog inside the mind.
Looking around still strangers faces to find.

Reminding her of an old clock trying to wind it down.
Look around, pave a new way try and forget whats left behind.
Another road, another highway, another trip now put away.
Fade away another day goodbye Ms lady Road tis true....... [comments] => 4 [counter] => 167 [topic] => 43 [informant] => shelby [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 5 [ratings] => 1 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => oops )

Michele, I am not quite sure I completely understand this but it sure took me to a place as if I was traveling with you two. That was a nice "ride along". Thank you....really... thank you.

Surely you guys aren't packing it in yet are you?

I sense an acute sadness and a longing of the worst kind. Is it goodbye to her
forever? Or just a while .... in any case, the piece is JAMPACKED with emotion, hun.

as always, you write from the heart.

*huge hugs*
