I take a step out on the ledge now ask me do I really dare?
I’d travel far to be with you but you won’t wait for me.
I’d search and look and when I’m there its just where you won’t be.
I light a fire in my soul tell me can you see it burn?
It liquefies my very being it’s my hope that won’t return.
The darkest of all carnivores I prey upon your flesh.
I taste your soul excrete your love best eaten when it’s fresh.
I’ve seen the darkest place there is, well seeded in despair.
It’s the place my inner thoughts come from and you who led me there.
You say that you’re in love with me, is it hard to tell me lies?
I see the blackness in your soul epitomized by my demise.
Despair is what I feel inside, insurmountable feelings of pain.
The shell of the man that I used to be is all that I am that remains.
My best of dreams still terrify my mind is so damn bent.
Since you’ve been gone its hard to write all my inspirations spent.
So i'll be alone all by myself and alone I’d rather be,
Then be the one walked on by you, the one that once was me…
