life can be going smoothly some days
one minute your smiling during a laze
and the next your wearing a deep frown
because your whole worlds been turned upside down

a thought thats very scary to me
is that my life could soon be a memory
and all i am now will become what was
theres nothing i can do so i keep smiling because
you cant change the nature of time and life
we constantly live through hardship and strife

but with each day we should get stronger
because we might not be for much longer
so cherrish every moment so you might think
how amazing life is and give us a wink
always be aware that nothing is set

This poem really touched me. I know exactly what you mean. My father died a year ago almost to the day and my whole life had turned upside down becuase I didn't even know he was ill.

It is amazing how everything can change in a matter of minutes.

Thanks for sharing - it is nice to know that there are people that understand.

Enjoyed the verse, (life's so perverse)
The theorie's sound, the writing's neat
but it helps us all stay out of the hearse
