To change the unrelentless?
To watch for the ineveitable,
And halt it all alone?
How can one hand manage,
(in a world full of disappointment and shame)
To capture the moth that flies over head,
Never faltering from the flame.
In times of new beginnings,
Does the one that existed ever end?
How can what has shaped us for so long,
Become like a forgotten friend?
Beautiful as always,
But no longer ours to know,
Forgotten as they may be,
They stay memories,
Friends,
And Foes. [comments] => 4 [counter] => 255 [topic] => 61 [informant] => UrbanFlower [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 10 [ratings] => 2 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => selfstruggles )

Great write
There are always ways to stop everything you just have to ask the right person how to do it that's what I can say about the first few lines
but hope that helps
keep writing

Those are some really elegant and thought-provoking first lines. You ask some good questions, ones that some people never even want to acknowledge. You've done a great job here. Thank you for sharing it.

Be well,
Loende

Masterfully tuned poetry here! The rhythmn, the pace and the suffering question, that you do not answer. Damn I love that. Asking the questions to the readers soul and not giving us an answer. It is the best of art to hit us and not tell us how we are supposed to catch it. Your ending fantastic and true. A splendid sentiment written with skill, purpose, and passion!

BRAVO!
