Array ( [sid] => 146423 [catid] => 1 [aid] => mick [title] => Why did that car have to stop? [time] => 2008-11-20 22:05:33 [hometext] => after a hard day, a very dark look at my daily life [bodytext] => Bundled up its so cold out
the night air slices to the bone
gently swirling no flakes float past me
tonight im utterly alone.

No friendly faces as I walk past
no "hellos" or soft expressions
only fast walkers and gruff demeanors
surely no cures for this depression

I take a deep breath and cross the street
the car loudly honks at my infraction
the only reason he cares is that im in his way
would getting run over give me satisfaction?

My hungry stomach keeps my feet walking
but my starving soul weighs me down
food though is readily available
the soul's panacea nowhere to be found.

the cafeterias full of people
none of them i know or them me
shuffle slowly to the food
eat my fill and then i leave
they never knew i was there
they never knew i left
my empty plate, my empty table
my empty chair, my empty life

Back i head through the masses
Now the wind tears into my face
The cars almost but not quite hit me
where im heading i cant say
i know my homes up ahead
but maybe i dont belong there
anywhere you go where no one misses you
when your gone you dont belong
and i definately dont belong at home
I guess i dont belong anywhere

damn why couldnt that car hit me...

This is very sad but you got your thoughts and feelings across realy well.
I think we al have thought likr this sometimes in our lives.
You are a good writer so why not just focus on that. I know I'd be tottally lost without my writings and friends here at ypdc.
Hang tuff as this too soon shall pass.
Hope you're feelings much better by now.
Luv, huggs, prayer, blessings,
emy
