Array ( [sid] => 146266 [catid] => 1 [aid] => mick [title] => Uncertain reality [time] => 2008-11-12 02:28:03 [hometext] => a look into our world......... the real part of it, the dangerous part of life out here for the truckers [bodytext] => Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Now unless you know us truckers,
I am sure there is a lot you could say.
Do not say to much, until you take a ride inside our day.
The real time, the dangerous moments
the passes covered in ice and snow.
The angry drivers, blustering winds,
black ice, fog and 20 below.

It takes but a moment,
then all at once this happens.
Hold on for the ride my friends
you never know where the end will tend ya.
It is our uncertain reality, the pleasure and the pain.
The adventure and the joy of it
the sadness and the rain.
The break downs and the fast runs
the tired eyes and sore sitting buns
and when the day is over
a thank you lord for the safe ride again.

The knowing there is the angel
flying as fast as 18 wheels will go.
The worry and the wonder,
everywhere place and every face you know.
The pure raw energy of it,
the idle and motor roar.
The measure of kindness of strangers
and the wealth of faces you had seen before.

The miles in front the miles behind
the tree lines and the shade.
The oceans and the raging rivers
and the beauty you know God has made.
Bless the truckers one and all
the past, present and future.
Bless the road bless the tires
bless the moments of the "real"

If you got it a truck brought it, respect us on the road!

I am happy to report the driver is ok, a major haz mat clean up but no one was hurt in this thank the lord.
This could have been ugly........ it happened seconds before we came round the corner in the opposite lane.

Love your trucking men and woman people we do have a job out here!

Just two days a go a trucker lost his life as the car in front of him lost control. He spilled his load of hot tar and shut down the freeway for 6 hours.
Thank you for what you do and the risks you take.

omigosh Michelle!! The picture is so scary!

Inspiration is found even in the most unconventional places, no?
Thank you for writing AND posting this. Be safe and take care on
that long black ribbon. SO many variables affecting your work. More
should respect that. Always, praying for your safe journeys now
and in the future. =D

Wow! This poem gave me a feeling for something I have never even considered before. Thank you.
