Sometimes I want to crawl on all fours,
hands and feet like hairy paws
roll in the mud and dirt,
a world away from suit and shirt

Some nights I’ve got to HOOOWL at the moon,
or bellow in a crowded room
feel the blood pumping in my veins,
shirk off society’s chains

Like a lost boy I’ll COCK-A-DOODLE-DOO!!
I don’t care if it embarrasses you
climb a tree and monkey around,
scratch and pee down on the ground

Some days I’m want to spread my wings,
and fly to where a zephyr sings
to listen to the sparrows talk,
and fear the shadow of the hawk

One time I acted all these ways,
as a callow child on endless days
too long restrained in life’s cocoon,
I hope they will all break free soon!

AAOOOOH!

damn spike!! this is a truly remarkable write here man!!
such an amazing free spirited no holes barred journey of raw emotion, sometimes the contraints of society can be overwhelming and gettin gback to our animal instincts are the only thing to let out all that botled up anxiety and things and you have captured that with a purity and a skill of hand that i find captivating!!

great writing man!!!

keep it up!!
