Array ( [sid] => 145555 [catid] => 1 [aid] => mick [title] => Misshapen in the heart [time] => 2008-10-06 10:04:01 [hometext] => The first part (that which is paranthetical) was written about 2 minutes ago. It was impulsive, but it gives me the ability to add to it later, which I may. Always, abraham [bodytext] => (In sleep and dream, standing proud at the edge of times inevitable end, Clio brings her wings to me, and shows to me the things that bring me dread, and in the array of my guilt and fear, she lends to my ear her sweet unfathomable song.)

With loves departure a stirring star misshapen in the heart, we find our tears depart also, and our voices tremble, fall, and waver. Our spirits tear asunder, our hands grow old with snow, our eyes astern on thunders past and years that never go, and the wounds of time contains us, that our hearts will often slow, and beat with tempered cadence, the glory of the ruined.

Love is a calamity in that it is singular and divided, cursed by common duality it is unbidden and desired. Voiceless and alone, love is formless, given utterance, it is fragile and obscure, a translucent sky besieged by storm, sought after, and it is irreverent, vicious, a rigid stone splintering the sea.

I don't know why but when I read the last paragraph it brought to mind a vivid image of the Skelligs off the west coast of Ireland. The whole poem has very powerful imagery.Loved it.Very inspirational
