Daylight flickered through the lace
Eyes softly awakened to the dawn.

We fell into a separate slumber
Our dreams carried us away.
Meeting in the land of golden fields

it's always amazing the connection two people can have. they are so close to you in soul, yet the miles say otherwise. wild feeling, huh? beautiful write. but i am not surprised~

Oh hun, how beautiful and sad all at once. I love dreams. They can bring such
wonder to our lives, but when they leave and reality comes crashing down,
a certain melancholy always seems to follow. You captured that perfectly
in this. Well done and well said, poet.

Sadly sometimes it it fades with the coming dawn.

A very romantic poem. Reminds me of Orbison's song: "In Dreams".
