A silver glow cast lightly over her head. Abigail sat, her room lit only by candles.
An offering, To the Goddess. Her hands worked quickly
I hope he doesnt come home, She finished her knot work. Cinnamon, dragons blood, white candle wax and oil she smeared this on the rope.
Hinges, creaking wood. Pounding boots up the stairs.
She moved quickly. Blew out the candles, Hid the herbs. Uncast the circle.
William stood, frozen, mid stride. Eyes wide and eyebrows slanted. Its not what you think!
Witch, he hissed. I never thought
