Gently he holds her
Softly he kisses her lips
Tender hearts merging
Into love he slips
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ [bodytext] => Tender Love
In a gentle touch of hand
A softly spoken word
A sweet and humble spirit
The voice of love is heard
Behind a tentative glance
A sly and wistful grin
Beneath a quivering voice
Embers of love begin
Yes there’s a need inside us all
To be cherished by someone
To be special and stand alone
In the eyes of that special one
Tender love without measure
Reassures every heart in love
Whether “the man of her dreams”
Or “his sweet turtledove”
So love me with tenderness
Let urgings be gentle and kind
If you cherish my heart
A tender love you'll find
Terrific sentiment. I was touched by it. I particularly liked the line..."A sly and wistful grin, beneath a quivering voice, embers of love begin." Just the way many a love ignites!
Great piece.
