Life an open door
Hearts torn and bleeding
Dust lay forgotten on floor

Smoke and mirrors leave us
Wondering where we have been
Remembrances of love
Shadows of our sins

There are those who come and go
Never leaving a mark
Then there are those who
Forever are engraved on our heart

Through times tough or gentle
The mind can not forget
The laughter and the tears
Always with us set

To friends and family I have loved
I keep you always near
Eternally you walk with me
Never should you fear

Though winds of change blow quickly
Steadfast is my spirit
My song ever swept your way
Listen, can you hear it?
