My Dearest Boy,
Always know ~ Im here with you,
And yes ~ Dear boy ~ I miss you too,
I come at night to watch you sleep,
Because ~ You are mine for keeps,
I didnt leave you ~ Im still here,
Yet, I cant wipe away your tears,
I can listen to all you say,
Yet, I cant take you out to play,
I can whisper ~ When life gets rough,
Yet, I cant be here ~ To make you tough,
I can watch you ~ Grow into a man,
Yet, I cant make you understand,
So baby boy ~ Just always know,
That I will never ~ Let you go,
Im in your mind ~ Im in your heart,
So listen softly ~ Ill do my part,
When a tug pulls at your sleeve,
Know Im saying ~ Its time to leave,
Always know ~ You are my Pride & Joy,
And I Thank God ~ For you ~ My boy,
I had a good life ~ I loved all that I had,
Above Everything Else ~ I Loved Being Your Dad.
