Through branches heavy laden with blossoms.
I heard your words so clearly so plain,
you are such an angel to me to me.

It could almost have been real,
like an ongoing echo that carries through canyons vast.
Coloring the brush with the whispers of you,
to reach out and speak once again, again.

I listened intently all I heard was the rain.
The still of the night and soft song of the frogs.
Walking to sit in the fresh still of the eve
there was not one whispers of wind around me.

Whispers of you or was it a dream?
A dream so real that it woke me.
Making me think that I heard your voice still
or was it the words and whispers that haunt me?

The rain coming down sitting cool on my skin.
A brief flicker of light from the end of a cigarette.
I listen to the night and the whispers there in,
I was lost to the whispers of you.
