And loved being around bright colors
But long ago was that time
That I had hope in others

The sun shone so brightly then
When I believed in men
My wings were once pure as snow
Not much of pain did I know

But happiness never lasts very long
And I was not strong

My wings are so tattered now
And it hurts to be in the sunlight
I want to find my heart but don’t know how
I cannot recall the thrill of flight

I can no longer fly
My heart is missing my wings torn
No more tears can I cry
I am forsaken I am forlorn

My life is endless pain
I cannot remove the bloodstain
From my chest
It’s a constant reminder of all that’s left

A gaping hole that I hide with a dying wing
They stole almost everything
They didn't listen as I begged on my knees
All that remains is my memories

My time is running thin
This fight I cannot win
I have no strength; no will to try
I long to touch the sky

No one believed me about what they had done
And the moment she won
I was ostracized immediately
She ripped out my heart so easily

It was her victory
She was proving to me
That I am unwanted and ugly
Though she cannot see

Her prize is nothing to her but a toy
Even though he helped her in destroying me
I feel sorry for that boy
Soon I shall be free

I now take my last flight
And with my broken wings I fall
Enshrouded in the cool breeze of night
I will end this once and for all

I smash upon the ground
Suddenly everything is white
I stand up and look around
My eyes hurt it’s so bright

But now I see
There is a new life waiting for me
What little hope I had left saved me in the end
Perhaps I’ll find a friend

Though I still carry all my pain
There is no outward stain

My sorrow is now hidden deep within
So says my name

After wiping the tears from my eyes I will offer these words. This is a very painful piece with a touch of light at the end. One day you will find the friend you are looking for. They are there waiting for you to make the first gesture so as not to frighten you away. Thank you for sharing this with us.
