Array ( [sid] => 142301 [catid] => 1 [aid] => mick [title] => Thank You [time] => 2008-05-11 14:48:10 [hometext] => Just some gratitude... [bodytext] => If there was something left that I could say
Something to pull you back my way
I'd say it without a question
If there was something that I had said
Maybe something that I did
I wouldn't be left guessing

You turned to walk back down the street
My mouth moved faster than my feet
Yet through the painful, lonely night
I know inside I'll be alright
But if there was one thing I had left to do
I guess it'd be to say "thank you"

Crazy it seems; I loved you so
But sometimes it's better to just let go
Time will continue
And I'll always love you
But I want to thank you for all that you've done
Even now that I know you are gone
Maybe only for being a friend
Cause you were the best that there's ever been

If there was something left for me to do
Just something to maybe help you
I'd do it without a question
If there was something we could still hold
Something as simple as to know
I wouldn't be left guessing

You stood in silence when I was enraged
I screamed like a banshee when you walked away
And through that painful, lonely night
I questioned myself if I would be fine
I knew there was one thing I had left to do
I guess it was only to say "thank you"

Crazy it seems; I loved you so
But sometimes it's better to just let things go
Time will continue
And I'll always love you
But I want to thank you for all that you've done
Even now that I know you are gone
Maybe only for being a friend
Cause you were the best that there's ever been

If there was something I could say
Something I missed when you turned away
I would say it without a question
If there was something we could still hold
Instead of a heart that's frozen and cold
I wouldn't be left guessing

Nothing will break me
Nothing can shake me
The most I can do
Is thank you
For everything
My friend
Even breaking my heart in two
When I genuinely cared for you

I stood in torment; you sat in disaster
She walked into your life, and you ran even faster
And through the painful, lonely night
I wasn't sure if it was really right
But I knew what I had to do
Thank you

Crazy it seems; I loved you so
But sometimes it's better to just let it go
Time will continue
Forever I'll love you
And now I thank you for all that you've done
Even if I just wasn't the one
You were and still are always my friend
And you were the best thing to me that ever has been [comments] => 2 [counter] => 419 [topic] => 37 [informant] => satanssecret1369 [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 0 [ratings] => 0 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => ThankYouPoems )
