They were here this morning
Now they are gone
One can only wonder
What went wrong?

This is the land of the free
Everyone was happy
But that all turned to grief
Now everyone is crying
Everyone is sad

Lost in the rubble
Are some of my brothers
A little girl is crying
Looking for her mother
All she can do is sit there and wonder

Sept. 11 will live in our hearts
We all pray for those who are lost
And the ones they can’t find
I was sitting in school
Crazy thoughts in my mind

A year and a half later
We are still reminded
That horrible day
We lost our loved ones
When they past away

Now it is Iraq
Can nothing be right?
We may go to war
We are going to fight.
No wonder I can never sleep at night

I just hope everything turns out
I don’t wanna see war
I wanna live in a free country
And nothing more
I just wanna be free!

The world is no longer a safe place- neither is our country. Your words are right from the deep place in your heart that is called compassion. Your message is heard and may God bless you. Dot
