Radical Man
Creation stands on attention
looking through the eyes of an original masterpiece
Painter of the fourth dimension

A Spanish surrealist
Bizarre visionary
Plunging deeply into the human mind
out of nightmares from when a child
into a hand-painted dream realised
inspiring profound emotions of all kind

Ants to show dreams and decay
Eggs expressing love and hope
Locusts to symbolise waste and fears
Turning May West’s lips into a sofa, making all critics mope

In his refusal to conform
this man with the eccentric moustache
Created weightlessness with structure beyond any norm
Turning the viewer into the ultimate artist

Salvador Dali
Persisting in our memories for all time...

I always love the inspiration strong enough to actualise as unabashed tribute poetry. A terrific homage to an eccentric and inspired genius. I recently met a world authority on Dali in Santa Fe and viewed some original charcoal drawings as well as a selection of his surrealist paintings. One of a kind.
