In the time that it takes
To say your good-byes
Tears I don't deserve
Fill up in my eyes
Hurt in my heart
Has burdened my soul
Now only half of a woman
That can never be whole
Save your farewells
Of the stories you tell
So hard to admit
I know them so well
Don't look at me with sadness
Still turn around and leave
As I collect what's left
Of all you took from me
Confusion in my head
Occupies my mind
As I watch you journey on
Still leaving me behind
So save all your lies
I've heard them before
I gave you the world
And still you want more
