[title] => There Are Only Reasons
[time] => 2008-02-07 11:08:29
[hometext] => Personal autonomy is simply a complex set of interrelated reasons, which of course is no autonomy at all.
[bodytext] => There Are Only Reasons There are only reasons... only explanations... causes alone produce effects... before Pasteur, spontaneous generation produced flies on meat... from nowhere, maggots appeared... then the flies... who could deny it... all one had to do was look... a strong, immediate, commonsense intuition confirmed it... an innate, inborn, natural power of human beings clearly said it was so... obviousness was all about it... And yet, even young school children today shake their heads... smiling in wonderment at such ignorance... these same children, ancestors of the ignorant, just as tenaciously cling to an obviousness, religiously believe, and will not be deterred from their own, personal belief in maggots and flies, free will and choice, right and wrong, heaven and hell, good and evil, responsibility and culpability, and of course, the man in the moon... this they do not of their free-will, but because of a reason... after all, there are only reasons... only explanations… only one man in the moon. rko july nineteen, two thousand, six nine, fifty-two p. m.
