[hometext] => A poem of Christmas memories as I see them through my Wife's eyes (my perspective).
[bodytext] => I pull close to you and hold your hand then gaze into your eyes, Hoping this Christmas Day was filled with every wondrous surprise. Your eyes begin to water and I sense a slight dismay, No break of mellow silence will evoke my thoughts convey. My feelings are set aside to view the windows to your soul, I dare not speak lest I lose control, and all that I seek will turn wintry cold. But I can not stay away from you without knowing why, So I take a chance and deeply peer into your mind's eye. I see a crackling warm Christmas fire lending confort to a long and joyful day, The majestic Noble Fir lay barren from release of gifts wrapped in splendid array. The reward of giving brought heartfelt happiness and filled your spirit with love, You bow your head in silence and give reverent thanks to the Most High above. Your mind is set to rewind and play Christmas memories of yesterday, I see expressions of sadness and moments of gladness as each one passes by, but they can not stay. I see the pain and loss of loved ones and the fear that some may soon go, But you willfully press on to the next Christmas Day even though you know, There is a price to pay for happiness, and such sorrow leaves a longing for a perfect world. I must separate myself for your thoughts belong to you, I an eternally thankful for each day we have, our love is forever new. Tonight we share this memory as it becomes a part of our lives, We captured a lasting moment when I gazed into your Christmas Eyes.
